Fits for Tall Men - Modern Fit Long & Slim Fit Long
RIESENHEMD Hamburg is a label that specialises entirely in shirts for tall men. Every shirt is designed for men from approximately 190 cm (6'3") – with 72 cm sleeves and an extended body length that stays neatly tucked in, even when moving or sitting.
To suit different builds, RIESENHEMD Hamburg offers two fits: Modern Fit Long and Slim Fit Long. Both combine premium fabrics, precise craftsmanship and clean lines – but differ in their silhouette and cut.
Modern Fit Long – elegant cut with comfort
Modern Fit Long is designed for tall men with a lean to average build who want a balance of classic elegance and everyday comfort. The cut is slightly tapered, with two subtle back pleats that allow easy movement across the shoulders.
The waist is deliberately cut with a little more room – ensuring a comfortable fit whether you have a slight stomach, are wearing layers in cooler months, or simply prefer not to feel constrained. Modern Fit Long is available in collar sizes 41 to 44, occasionally up to 46, in both classic business and smart casual styles.
Slim Fit Long – a close, tailored cut for slim tall men
Slim Fit Long is designed for tall men with a slim to very slim build who want a close, body-conscious fit. The cut is more strongly tapered than Modern Fit Long, with two back darts for a sharp, defined silhouette.
The waist is cut noticeably narrower than Modern Fit Long – this fit is best suited to men with a genuinely slim frame. If in doubt, we recommend Modern Fit Long for a more comfortable fit.
Slim Fit Long is available in collar sizes 39 to 43, in both classic business and smart casual styles.
Premium fabrics & perfect fit
Both fits are made from the finest European cotton – some with an easy-iron finish, all certified to the high standard of OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100. The combination of an extended body and 72 cm sleeves ensures a fit specifically proportioned for tall men.
The extra length – approximately 10 cm longer than a standard shirt – means the shirt stays neatly in place all day, without constantly needing to be tucked back in.
