Give a shirt as a gift

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, you can buy gift vouchers from us and then give them as a gift – so the recipient can choose the shirt they like best. Please have a look at our special page on gift vouchers.

I would like to give away a RIESENHEMD, is that possible?

Of course, and we are very pleased. You only need to provide the recipient’s address, which will then be different from the billing address. Unfortunately, however, we are not yet able to specially pack the shirt at this time, but we are working with our warehouse service provider to offer this one day. You can also purchase gift vouchers from us and then give them away – please have a look at our special page on gift vouchers.

Newsletter

Do you offer a newsletter?

Yes, we offer a newsletter. You can register for the newsletter here and as a thank you you will also receive a voucher for 10 euros, which you can use once when shopping.

Why should I subscribe to your newsletter?

Our newsletter will always be the first to tell you the latest news about RIESENHEMD Hamburg – for example great offers, new models or simply fashion tips for tall men. And – when you sign up, you will also receive a voucher for 10 euros, which you can use once when shopping.

Personal user account

I have forgotten my password, what can I do?

If you have forgotten your password, you can get a new one. To do so, please go to my account.

I would like to change my email address – how do I do that?

You can change your email address under “My account” and then “Edit account”, or simply click on my account.

Can I deactivate my user account?

If you would like to deactivate your user account, please send us an email to service@riesenhemd.de and we will delete your entry.

Do I have to register to order from RIESENHEMD?

No, registration is not necessary. You can of course shop as a “guest” without registering; the corresponding option is displayed during the ordering process.

Returns

Can I cancel the purchase?

You have the legal right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, have taken or has taken possession of the goods. In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Lammerskötter GmbH, Karstenstraße 7d, 22587 Hamburg, Email: info@riesenhemd.de) by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter or email sent by post) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. To comply with the revocation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of revocation before the expiry of the revocation period.”

Please note that we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee beyond this legal period anyway. You therefore have the option of returning the shirt to us without giving any reason.

Do I have to pay the return costs myself?

Unfortunately, yes at the moment. We are currently working on the integration of a system that allows you to print out a return label yourself.

You offer a 30-day money-back guarantee – what is that?

You can return your goods to us up to 30 days after receiving them and we will refund the purchase price (exception would be signs of wilful destruction). You do not need to give us a reason for the return (although it helps if you give us a reason, such as shirt too tight, fabric not as expected, etc.).

How can I make a return?

You should also have received a return slip in the order email.

How long can I keep a shirt before returning it?

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee – meaning that within 30 days of receiving the goods, you must return it to us if you are not satisfied.

Sustainability and fashion – do they go together?

From our point of view, this must belong together!

We are aware of the impact of the fashion industry on the environment and therefore support the slow fashion movement. We focus on quality instead of quantity. For this reason, we have also decided to produce our shirts in Europe, in order to comply with European environmental and social standards. All our shirts are produced in Spain. All fabrics used by us RIESENHEMD Hamburg are made of 100% European cotton and meet the Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex. The Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex is the most widely used label for textiles tested for harmful substances worldwide.

Also important – our shirts are made to a high standard, so they last longer. They are not disposable goods for quick use.

Who is behind RIESENHEMD Hamburg?

RIESENHEMD Hamburg is a project of Lammerskötter GmbH. Behind this are the two founders of RIESENHEMD Hamburg, Ms Rosario Then de Lammerskötter and Mr Dirk Lammerskötter. In 2018, this couple from Hamburg had the idea to produce high-quality men’s shirts for tall men and sell them online. You can also find more info in the About RIESENHEMD section.

What is special about the shirts from RIESENHEMD Hamburg?

The special thing about our shirts is that we make them exclusively for the needs of tall men. All our shirts are cut significantly longer than normal standard shirts, and feature extra-long sleeves of 72cm. But our shirts are also characterised by our high-quality fabrics, the many well-thought-out design details, the careful workmanship and a great price-performance ratio. That is why we have already been able to win over many highly satisfied customers who buy their shirts from us again and again. And this trust spurs us on!

Where can I buy your shirts?

You are already in the best place – on our webshop. Because we sell purely online (at the moment). You can also find our shirts on Amazon, but we would be happy if you buy directly from us, because on Amazon we have to pay a sales fee.

Where are the shirts made?

All our shirts are made in Spain to our design and specifications. We use a small family business that is now in its second generation of shirtmakers. We know the company well and are regularly on site – so we are also sure that all employees there are employed according to European social and labour rules.

Our shirts – fabrics, fit, special features

Für wen sind Ihre Hemden geeignet?

All our shirts are designed for tall men. You should be over 1.90 metres tall and need a sleeve length of 72 cm. We offer both slightly fitted shirts (“Modern Fit Long“) for the “normal slim” tall man and more fitted shirts (“Slim Fit Long“) for the very slim tall man. Unfortunately, we do not currently have any shirts on offer for sturdy tall men who require a “Comfort Fit” shirt or XXXL shirt.

I am tall and strong – do you have shirts for me?

Unfortunately, not at the moment, but we hope to be able to offer a fit for strong, tall men in the future. Currently our widest model is a Modern Long Fit shirt with collar size 46 – this has a chest measurement of 133 cm and waist measurement of 129 cm. Fit and size overview

I am normal-slim and tall – do you have shirts for me?

For normal-slim tall men who prefer a slightly fitted but at the same time not too tight shirt, our fit “Modern Fit Long” is ideal – neither too tight, neither too wide, between Slim Fit and Comfort Fit.

I am very slim and tall – do your shirts fit me?

It is precisely for very slim, tall men who need tighter cut shirts in extra length and 72 cm sleeves that we have designed our Slim Fit Long fit.

How tight are the seams?

All shirts from RIESENHEMD Hamburg are sewn to a high quality. They have a stitch density of eight stitches per centimetre so that your shirt lasts longer. At the armhole, our shirts are double-stitched (so that it lasts as long as possible), and the yoke is made of double fabric.

How long are the sleeves of your shirts?

All our shirts have an arm length of 72cm. They are therefore significantly longer than standard shirts (usually around 65 cm), and also longer than many shirts where “extra long sleeves” means an arm length of 68 cm to 70 cm.

Are there also shirts in organic cotton?

Unfortunately not! We hope to be able to offer all our shirts to this standard in the future.

Shipping

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver to all countries of the European Union, Switzerland and Norway. If you want to order from another country, please send us an email to service@riesenhemd.de.

How much are the shipping costs?

For shipments within Germany, we ship free of charge. For shipments to the other countries of the European Union, as well as to Switzerland and Norway, the shipping costs are a flat rate of 7.50 euros. For orders over 100 Euro value of goods we ship free of charge. For all other countries the flat rate is 10 Euro. For orders over 150 euros value of goods, we ship free of charge.

How quickly do you deliver?

We ship every shipment no later than 24 hours after receipt, often on the same day. For shipping, we only use established shipping companies such as DHL, GLS and dpd. The shirts should therefore reach you as quickly as possible – in Germany, experience has shown that it takes 2-3 working days after the order is placed.

Payment methods

Can I also buy by invoice?

Yes, this is possible, because our payment processor PayPal also accepts purchase on account. You will receive an email from PayPal after the purchase, which contains the payment details for the transfer.

Which payment methods does RIESENHEMD Hamburg accept?

With us you can pay with all common payment methods that are used online. We use PayPal as a partner for payment processing. You can pay us with credit cards, by direct debit (collection from your bank account), via Paypal and on account.
